“This is going to be the BEST YEAR EVER!”

Excited and inspired I just knew it was going to be MY year!

Then tragedy struck.

I lost my familiar, my best friend, an extension of my wild soul in an animal I had a truly otherworldly, psychic bond with.

I’d had so many visions of her curled up on my pregnant belly, a whole future timeline vanished. She was the most magikal part of my life.

My partner couldn’t hold me through it. He shut down when I needed him the most.

It was the beginning of the end. 

Several months later my book came out, and it was hard to celebrate with dark clouds looming.

Then we lost our second familiar, her brother. Without our kids there was nothing left to hold onto. The devastation ended our 5 year partnership.

In the depths of this grief portal, too many sad memories in the halls, we left the home I’d worked tirelessly to build for us. 

So I embarked on the only solution I’ve ever found for such situations.

A healing quest.

I took time away from social media, the comforts of home, and what I know, to venture the unknown, to face off with my pain.

To heal.
